The painful, tragic anatomy of pastoral infidelity—fractured trust—followed by healing and forgiveness.  A must read as a roadmap to strategic avoidance of heartbreak and for recovery in the wake of disaster. — John Ashcroft  United States Attorney General 2001-2005

My heart was moved in reading Secrets in the Sanctuary. Julie writes in such a straight-forward and redemptive tone. It takes courage for her to write her story. I know the Lord will use her gift of brokenness to use her pain to help others heal. This book feels like a “for such a time as this” message.. — Mark Batterson, New York Times bestselling author of The Circle Maker, Lead Pastor of National Community Church

After years of living with a secret, Julie reveals her journey of love, betrayal, and forgiveness. You will cry both tears of sorrow and tears of joy as she unfolds her story of brokenness and the road to restoration. Her life is a beautiful reflection of God’s grace lived out. — Vicki Miller, Director, Refresh Ministry Women

Julie’s story is one of determined perseverance through years of suffering the betrayal of her brilliant then-pastor-husband, while simultaneously coping as her little girl fought a life and death battle with cancer.  Her story powerfully demonstrates that what happens in you is more important than what happens to you. I encourage you to read Secrets in the Sanctuary.  I applaud Julie’s honesty in telling her story.  You will be encouraged! — George O. Wood, Chairman, World Assemblies of God Fellowship

With a Bachelor of Science in Art Education from Southwest Missouri State University, Julie served as a teacher and parent educator in the public school system. Today, through speaking engagements, writing, and ministering, God is using her beyond her life story to validate His immeasurable grace and prove His power to redeem, heal, and make us whole no matter the difficulties or tragedies we may face.  She and her husband have three wonderful adult children along with their spouses and four amazing grandchildren.
